A Memorable Party....
Annas Deviled eggs.... a must!
Sarah and Joe know how to throw a great picnic - cookout! We gathered at their home to celebrate Memorial Day. Look how cute Sarah was- decked out in her Red,White and Blue apron. She can wear anything with style! She had everything looking so festive and fun. She makes our country proud as a Air Force Majors wife. It was a great day to honor our servicemen and their families and we sure are proud of ours!!
Hope yours was memorable too!!!!

And they lived happily ever after.....
My good friend - Amy from Blessings and Baubles daughter McKinsey got married last night in a magical setting. I knew I was in for a treat when I entered the reception and a table of darling cookies and candies in Blue and green greeted me.
The cakes were gorgeous... and tasty!
notice the Chocolate Chip cookies peeking around the cake -
Amy made these-I went home with a sugar high...
The tables were all just a little different and filled with
amazing colorful flowers and candles...
Love the flower floating in this vase-how did they do that?
and be sure a look at the darling white butterflies on everything
The lucky couple left in this wonderful RED convertible - owned by the grandfather....I wonder if I could get adopted so I could ride in this car? It is my color!!!
My hopes and prayers are that Mckinsey and Whitney
live a long and happy life together.
Thanks for letting me be a part of your special day.....

A Fine Feathered Affair.....
This past Thursday I hosted the May luncheon for the Quaint Old Homes group and I wanted to share with you some of the fun I had decorating for it. I love Nest (as if you hadn't noticed)and I decided to use Nest as the theme. I decorated the cupcakes and cake with bird nest made from shredded wheat and Choc/peanut butter. At Easter I bought about 4 bags of jelly beans to get the robin egg blue eggs to have enough to put on the cupcake nest.HEHE Then I found out at Walmart they had bags of cadbury eggs in robin egg blue all in one bag!! Love the color of those eggs!
The invitations were birds I cut from darling scapbook paper..... The centerpiece I filled with a wonderful gerber daisy and of course a bird nest.
We won't flock together again till fall but it was a fun day spent with my fine feathered friends.....

Spring Fever....
No I am not moving...just been to Canton and this is what our car looked like on the way home....
One man said it looked like we were going to a funeral with all the flowers! I said no just to my yard. I have not been to faithful with blogging lately - Please I have been busy planting, digging and redoing everything in sight - A girl has just got to go outside some and enjoy the outdoors! I spend just about every waking moment out side these days. I love spring and the coolness of the days and evenings.
Our trip to Canton was such fun- we took along the younguns! It is so neat to see them loving OLD things too! Of Course with out any doubt the first stop is ALWAYS- Laurieannas- heaven on earth. I just love her displays it could get a girl plum worked up to go redo a whole house.
We also stop at - Verandas - such neat stuff and I love her collage of fun things hanging on this mirror...
Look who Sarah ran into- her big sis from tri-delt days at Baylor - Mandy such a precious friend she has been through the years! And she was loving Canton too - just love it!
The younguns - Kedren, Anna and Sarah... Kedren bought a set of old pyrex bowls and she was sooo excited to find them in primary colors. Anna found a old pair of cowboy boots she just loved and Sarah bought a darling shirt and cute "Knick -KNacks "(I added that for Joes benefit) for her home.
It was a fun day of laughing, dreaming what it would be like to buy everything we wanted there and seeing Canton through the eyes of 20 somethings..... Its a great place for all ages.
I am off to get ready for the Quaint Old Ladies coming to my house tomorrow.... Oh the cooking, cleaning and digging I have done to make the day just as quaint as possible....I can't wait to share the pictures of it all.
Till then go have a little spring fever yourself.
