Christmas revisited...
Christmas 2007 is now over and all packed away but I still have visions of sugar plums dancing in my head. I think this Christmas was the first Holiday I have really gone all out-in about 3 years. Christmas 2005 brought Erica and Josh's wedding and I was in no state to decorate one more thing - too busy painting 150 white tree branches and thinking only of a beautiful wedding on New Years Eve. Christmas 2006 was the first holiday without our Mother and I just wanted to get through it- to be honest. So this year I decided it was my year to enjoy decking my halls. I hosted the Preservation for Quaint Old Homes Lunch for about 60 women like me who live in old Homes. That was so much fun because those women love the same things I love -all things old and chippy( is that a word) They are the most creative women in my town and look forward to visiting another old home each month. Not to mention great food! The week before Christmas I treated myself and had all my bestest friends to my home for dessert. Isn't that what Christmas is about sharing it with friends and family you love? I will look back on this Christmas with great fondness I not only made it through the holiday but with a truly Merry Heart....May we keep Christmas in our hearts all year long!

Lets Create...
Its official- I am joining the creative world of blogging. I have gotten hooked looking on friends and kindred spirits blog spots and have become inspired to write my own. It all started by looking at a web page of one of my favorite vendors from Canton - LaurieAnna- And the click of the laptop opened this world of creative sharing. I hope to inspire each of you who share my journey to be the creative woman God created us to be.
The Greatest Creation...
I finally get to join the greatest club of all. The Grandmother Club - yes you heard right I am becoming a grandmother come early September. My oldest son Josh and his precious wife Erica are expecting their first child. I have known since the day after Christmas but could tell no one. That was the hardest secret to keep. I found myself just not talking to anyone because all I wanted to do is yell it from the rooftops. I already have visions of quilts, blankets and burp cloths dancing in my head. I will be busy making all the fun baby stuff . With every stitch comes a prayer for my grand child and its mother and father. We will be busy getting ready for the arrival of our new family member.
