A Pirates life for Drew…..

Drew turned 4 the 3rd of September and I do believe the birthdays will not be very exciting after his 4th! Josh and Erica took him to Disneyland and most importantly to see the Cars Amusement park – boy did they have a blast and Drew LOVED it!  For his Birthday Party he chose a Pirate theme this year – he LOVES “Jake and the Neverland Pirates” When we watch it together I am always Izzy – I am the keeper of the Picksy dust. Erica planned  a darling Pirate party of course – she is amazing at that!

Started with the invitation -

September days- Fall is on the way!

I don’t think I have ever gone 4 weeks without blogging! I guess you could just say I have been busy, working, playing enjoying living! Here is a short recap of the days I have spent this month and what I have been up to.

I spent two days learning the new Bernina Sewing Machine I will be selling  - one word  - Amazing! I had a good time getting away for about 48 hours and learning about it and some other great products that will just open up another world for us.

I have also been making pillows to sell at the Quaint Old Homes Marketplace on October 11 – I have enjoyed trying some new things with them and think they turned out real Shabby Chic. I have been keeping my hands quite busy of late making and creating !

I have decorated my Home for Halloween already and just love the fun fun colors. There were several years I didn’t get my Halloween stuff out but NOW that I have very special Trick or Treaters I go all out with the bright fun colors – nothing scary at my house!

I’ve made some new things around my house – just for ME. I love my new light over my sink –found the top at Big Lots on a candle, fit perfectly , used a light kit from Ikea and I have myself a Ball jar light!

Fabric pumpkins were fun to add to the fall décor this year and sew easy to make! I even embroidered the leaves to add just the right touch of whimsy.

In the middle of all this I went to the West Texas Fair with these two – Oh the fun we had – the giggles and laughs I will always remember.

I can just hear the giggles still – love those two!

One big event I will post about soon is Drew’s big 4th Birthday party – hard to believe that little one has been in our lives just 4 years – he sure fills my heart up!

October brings fun fun times! My 3rd Grandbaby is coming the end of October so I have got to get busy sewing for the new little one. Burp cloths, blankets and who knows what else it might need. I can’t wait to meet the new baby and fall in love once again!

Happy Fall – Ya’ll
