Keep calm and carry on...

A couple of months ago I ran across this little hand silkscreen print and the words just spoke to my heart. I am so glad it was hanging in my kitchen this morning to remind me to just carry on. Carry on loving my Country, Praying daily for it and being proud of it- just the way I have been my WHOLE life. Not just the last few months or not just because someone was elected but because I have ALWAYS loved my country. Maybe it comes from sending a husband to war and not coming home ever the same or sending nephews to war and praying for them daily and seeing the pride in their eyes for SERVING their country in the ultimate way. My heart is troubled this morning not just because the Man I wanted to lead our country didn't win but because people said they never were proud of their country till now. I don't get it - do they not get goose bumps everytime they hear the national anthem or see a flag waving. I guess I need to be glad they FINNALY got on the band wagon! I will begin praying today for our new President and my Country I hold so dear. I believe we will see changes in our country like never before and as Christians we better be in prayer before the changes come.
On my knees .....God Bless my country I love.....

Molly- My heart has been heavy too! Yes, the man I wanted so much to win, didn't. But you are right, prayer can and will do amazing things! So as Christians, that is where we ALL need to be. Thanks for your words!

Oh Molly I feel the same way as you!Amen sister! I happened upon your blog today and read this post. It is so sad to hear people say that they are just now proud of their country!
Last week was a tough one for many of us. But we can be united in prayer and help each other get through this. I would like to invite you to come on over and vist my blogs and join if you like. I enjoyed finding your blog-Tam :)

Molly, I deleted my last comment because it signed me as "It's About Time". I have created a blog for them and things are a little messed up with my posting comments on other people's blogs. Anyway, I loved your post and so appreciated your thoughts on our country. I am right there with ya!!
